Sad Singalong Songs originally appeared in May 2013, one day before Anouk performed "Birds" in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö. In the final it gave the Netherlands ninth place with 114 points, the best Dutch result since 1999. Her eighth studio album came out on her own label Goldilox and sounds more restrained than the rock work before it, with strings, piano, and ballads to the fore, alongside titles such as "Pretending As Always" and "The Good Life".

This edition is an LP on clear vinyl, numbered and limited to 1,000 copies.
