State of Euphoria is the fourth studio album by Anthrax and first came out in 1988. The album was produced by the band together with Mark Dodson and featured the lineup at the time of Joey Belladonna, Scott Ian, Dan Spitz, Frank Bello and Charlie Benante. The best-known single is Antisocial, a cover of the French song by Trust that received heavy airplay on MTV. Other songs include Make Me Laugh, Be All End All and Misery Loves Company, inspired by the novel Misery by Stephen King. The album went gold in the United States and cemented Anthrax's position within the American thrash metal scene, alongside Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer, known as the Big Four.
