The In Sound from Way Out! gathers the instrumental pieces from Check Your Head and Ill Communication into a single continuous jazz-funk album with no rapping. Money Mark on keyboards, Yauch on bass, Horovitz on guitar and Diamond on drums play tracks such as 'Ricky's Theme', 'Sabrosa' and 'Groove Holmes'. The title and sleeve are taken from the 1966 electronic album of the same name by Perrey and Kingsley. The compilation originally appeared in 1996 on Grand Royal. This edition is an LP.
