On To the 5 Boroughs the Beastie Boys went back to bare beats and three MCs trading verses, and this time they produced the album themselves. It originally appeared in 2004, six years after Hello Nasty, and revolves around New York after 11 September 2001: the sleeve shows a drawn skyline and 'An Open Letter to NYC' is a love letter to the city. Elsewhere there is criticism of the Bush administration, not least on 'It Takes Time to Build'. 'Ch-Check It Out' and 'Triple Trouble' were the singles, and the album entered the US chart at number 1. This edition is a 2-LP.
