With Cowboy Carter, Beyoncé claimed her place in country music and asked who that genre really belongs to. The 2024 album is the second part of a trilogy that began with Renaissance, filtering country through soul, gospel, rock and pop and tracing the genre's Black roots. Among the tracks: 'Texas Hold 'Em', 'II Most Wanted' and her own reading of Dolly Parton's 'Jolene', with contributions from Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton, among others. It won the Grammy for Album of the Year, and Beyoncé became the first Black woman to win the Grammy for Best Country Album. This edition is a 2-LP on black vinyl.
