Laura-Mary Carter and Steven Ansell made the seventh Blood Red Shoes album entirely on their own: written, recorded, produced and mixed by the duo, with no manager, A&R or outside producer. You can hear it in the bare, direct edge of the ten songs, where the Brighton pair mixes its garage rock and post-punk with more electronics than before. The theme is being together and still being alone, the feeling that two decades of writing and touring together brings with it. The tracklist opens with 'Start To End' and closes with 'Fire On Water', with 'Screams' and '2020 On TV' in between. Stay Lonely is released by V2 Records.
