Exodus was made in London, where Bob Marley had moved in early 1977 after the shooting at his home in Kingston in December 1976. The first side is heavy and political (Natural Mystic, So Much Things to Say, Guiltiness, The Heathen, and the title track with its long, hypnotic groove), the second side is light and warm: Jamming, Waiting in Vain, Turn Your Lights Down Low, Three Little Birds, and One Love/People Get Ready. The album was originally released in June 1977 via Island and spent 56 weeks on the British album chart; in 1999 Time named Exodus the best album of the twentieth century.

This edition is an LP.
