Kaya is the lighter sibling of Exodus: both albums come from the same 1977 London sessions, after the attempt on Marley's life and his departure from Jamaica. Where Exodus got the heavier themes, Kaya collects the love songs and the odes to herb, with Is This Love, Sun Is Shining, Satisfy My Soul, Easy Skanking, and Misty Morning. The album was originally released in March 1978, a month before the One Love Peace Concert in Kingston where Marley had political rivals Michael Manley and Edward Seaga shake hands on stage.

This edition is an LP on 180 gram vinyl.
