In September 1992 Bruce Springsteen played a television session for MTV with the band he toured with after letting go of the E Street Band. The show was called Unplugged, but after one acoustic song, "Red Headed Woman", he picked up the electric guitar; the recording has been known as MTV Plugged ever since. The set leans heavily on Human Touch and Lucky Town and sets reworked versions of "Atlantic City", "Darkness on the Edge of Town" and "Thunder Road" beside them. Recorded at Warner Hollywood Studios in Los Angeles and originally issued in 1993 as In Concert/MTV Plugged.
