Chakzilla is Chaka Khan's thirteenth studio album and the follow-up to Hello Happiness from 2019. Greg Kurstin produced its ten songs and Sia co-wrote. Snoop Dogg raps on "Boogie's in My Soul", Sia sings on "Cool U Down" and Lenny Kravitz plays on "Bring the Party". The title track and "Curious Subject" went out as singles ahead of it. The funk foundation Khan built with Rufus is still there, but Kurstin's production pulls the songs towards tight, contemporary pop.
