'Zombie' turned the second album by The Cranberries into a worldwide success. Dolores O'Riordan wrote the song after the IRA bombings in Warrington in 1993, in which two children were killed, and sang it over a heavier, distorted guitar part than the band had used until then. The rest of No Need to Argue, originally from 1994 and again produced by Stephen Street, stays closer to the restrained style of the debut, with 'Ode to My Family', 'Dreaming My Dreams', and the long 'Daffodil Lament'. An estimated 17 million copies were sold worldwide, making it their best-selling album.
