Time Out is the best-known album by the Dave Brubeck Quartet, originally released in 1959 via Columbia. The album was an experiment with unusual time signatures, inspired by music Brubeck heard while touring Europe and Asia. With 'Take Five' (written by saxophonist Paul Desmond) and 'Blue Rondo à la Turk' it contains two of the most famous jazz compositions ever; 'Take Five' became the first jazz single to sell more than a million copies. Alongside Brubeck and Desmond, the quartet consisted of bassist Eugene Wright and drummer Joe Morello. This edition is an LP on black vinyl.
