The Man Who Sold the World is a studio album by David Bowie, originally released in 1970. It is his first genuinely heavy record: together with guitarist Mick Ronson, producer and bassist Tony Visconti and drummer Woody Woodmansey, Bowie built a heavy, bluesy hard-rock sound that pointed ahead to the glam years. The lyrics deal with madness, power and alienation, with the title track, 'All the Madmen', 'The Width of a Circle' and 'The Supermen' as highlights. It laid the foundation for the collaboration that would soon produce Hunky Dory and Ziggy Stardust. This edition is a picture disc and includes a poster.
