Youthquake Remixes contains remix versions of material from the 1985 album Youthquake by the British band Dead Or Alive. Youthquake featured the worldwide hit "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)" and was produced by the team Stock Aitken Waterman. The band, led by the flamboyant singer Pete Burns, combined hi-NRG and dance-pop with a theatrical image. The remixes emphasise the danceable, club-oriented side of their sound. In this way these reworkings highlight the group's influence on the dance music of the 1980s.
