…and Beyond – Live in Japan, 2017 holds the second part of Dream Theater's performance at the Budokan in Tokyo, during the 'Images, Words & Beyond' tour. Where the first part played the album Images and Words in full, this part draws on the rest of the catalogue, with tracks such as 'The Dark Eternal Night', 'Hell's Kitchen' and 'Breaking All Illusions', chosen from The Astonishing, A Dramatic Turn of Events and the self-titled album among others. The show received its first physical release through the Lost Not Forgotten Archives.
