Ocean Rain, originally released in 1984, was Echo & the Bunnymen's fourth studio album. The band framed its post-punk in expansive string arrangements, partly recorded with an orchestra in Paris, giving the album a wide, cinematic sound. In "The Killing Moon" it holds one of the best-known songs in British post-punk, while singles such as "Seven Seas" and "Silver" confirmed the record's standing in the genre.
