+ was released in 2011 as Ed Sheeran's debut album, following a series of self-released EPs. The album combines acoustic folk and pop with influences from hip hop and grime, and was produced largely by Jake Gosling. The breakthrough single The A Team earned Sheeran an Ivor Novello Award and a Grammy nomination for Song of the Year. Other singles from the album include Lego House, You Need Me I Don't Need You and Drunk. Plus reached number 1 in the United Kingdom and marked Sheeran's international breakthrough.
