Elvis Is Black! assembles recordings in which Elvis Presley drew on the rhythm and blues and rock 'n' roll of Black artists — the roots of his own sound. The compilation runs from early rock 'n' roll recordings such as 'That's All Right', 'Good Rockin' Tonight' and 'Mystery Train' to masters and alternate takes from the late 1950s and early 1960s. Many songs appear here in a studio version marked with their take number.
This edition was released for Record Store Day as a 3-LP on orange, white and silver coloured vinyl.
