"The album itself is a dopamine chamber", singer Grian Chatten says of the title: you step inside and the band tests different mood-altering pieces of music on you. Dopamine Chamber is the fifth studio album by Fontaines D.C., produced, like its predecessor Romance from 2024, by James Ford, on XL Recordings. The Dublin band often trades guitars for synthesizers, samples, marching drums and strings. In the lyrics, AI, ecological collapse and political violence travel through the same channels as memes and celebrity gossip. Lead single Marianne draws partly on the series Ripley.
