Françoise Hardy canta per voi in italiano originally appeared in November 1963 and remained her only Italian-language studio album released in Italy. She re-recorded her French repertoire for it with Italian lyrics, mostly by Vito Pallavicini: Quelli della mia età is the Italian version of Tous les garçons et les filles, L'età dell'amore that of Le temps de l'amour, and Il tuo migliore amico that of Ton meilleur ami. The backing came from the orchestras of Ezio Leoni and Marcel Hendrix. Hardy sang in Italian with the same restrained delivery as on her French recordings, and the single Quelli della mia età sold some 255,000 copies in Italy.
