Zappa '80: Munich documents the concert Frank Zappa gave at the Olympiahalle in Munich, the closing show of his spring and summer tour of 1980. It was the first Zappa concert recorded straight to digital stereo. The tapes sat in the archive for more than forty years and appeared in 2023. The set runs from 'Chunga's Revenge' and 'Cosmik Debris' through material from Joe's Garage to 'The Illinois Enema Bandit', played by the 1980 line-up with singers Ike Willis and Ray White, keyboard player Tommy Mars and drummer Vinnie Colaiuta. It is among the first complete concerts from that period to receive an official release. This edition is a 3-LP.
