On 25 March 1988 Frank Zappa played the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York, in what turned out to be his last concert in the United States. Zappa '88: The Last U.S. Show documents that night, performed by the large band with horn section he toured with that year, and came out of the archive in 2021. The album contains the first official release of 'The Beatles Medley', in which 'Norwegian Wood', 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds' and 'Strawberry Fields Forever' are stitched together with rewritten lyrics about the scandal surrounding televangelist Jimmy Swaggart. It also features versions of 'Inca Roads', 'The Black Page' and 'City of Tiny Lites', plus covers of 'Stairway to Heaven' and 'Whipping Post'. Two pieces come from other dates on the same tour, in Towson and Providence. Drummer Chad Wackerman and archivist Joe Travers wrote the liner notes. This edition is a 4-LP box set.
