Impera was Ghost's fifth studio album, originally released in 2022. Where its predecessor was set in the plague years of the fourteenth century, Impera deals with empires rising and collapsing, from colonialism to modern hunger for power. The music reaches back to eighties hard rock: twin lead guitars, big choirs and a tight production by Klas Åhlund. 'Call Me Little Sunshine', 'Hunter's Moon' and 'Spillways' were released as singles. Across twelve tracks the album runs just over three quarters of an hour. This edition is an LP on opaque maroon vinyl.
