Gorillaz is the debut album by the virtual project of Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett, originally released in 2001. Dan the Automator produced it together with the band, mixing alternative rock, hip-hop, dub and pop. 'Clint Eastwood', with a rap by Del the Funky Homosapien, was the breakthrough, followed by '19-2000' and 'Tomorrow Comes Today'. Cuban singer Ibrahim Ferrer sings on 'Latin Simone (Que Pasa Contigo)'. With four drawn band members and a backstory of its own, the album set out a new kind of pop act. This edition is a 2-LP.
