Razorblade Romance was the album that broke HIM outside Finland. For their second studio album the band travelled with producer John Fryer, known for his work with Nine Inch Nails and This Mortal Coil, to Rockfield Studios in Wales. Heavy guitar riffs and plenty of room for keyboards frame Ville Valo's low, melancholic voice, a blend of gothic and hard rock the band called "love metal".

The single "Join Me in Death" went to number 1 in Finland and Germany and appears here in the Razorblade Mix. Other songs include "Right Here in My Arms", "Poison Girl" and "Gone With the Sin", and the album itself topped the charts in Finland, Germany and Austria.

This edition is an LP on black vinyl, in a gatefold sleeve.
