On The Soldier's Tale, Roger Waters narrates every role in Igor Stravinsky's L'Histoire du soldat from 1918, the story of a soldier who sells his violin to the devil. He adapted the text into English himself and recorded the work with musicians from the Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival. Where his work with Pink Floyd and solo revolves around rock, a small chamber ensemble takes centre stage here, with violin, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, double bass and percussion. The album dates from 2018.

This edition is a 2LP on green vinyl.
