Crunch originally appeared in 2000 as a studio album by Impellitteri, the American band built around guitarist Chris Impellitteri and singer Rob Rock. It couples neoclassically schooled, high-speed soloing with traditional heavy metal, with "Beware Of The Devil" and "Speed Demon" as characteristic tracks. Impellitteri was known for an extreme picking tempo, which sits at the centre of this record. This reissue appeared as a numbered, limited pressing on the Night Of The Vinyl Dead label.
