Dance of Death is Iron Maiden's thirteenth studio album and originally dates from 2003. It is the second album following the return of Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith, which made the line-up a six-piece with three guitarists. Its longer, narrative compositions are characteristic, chief among them 'Paschendale', about the First World War, alongside 'Wildest Dreams' and 'Rainmaker'. The room given to extended, progressively tinged structures marks the band's later style.
