No Prayer for the Dying is the eighth studio album by British heavy metal band Iron Maiden, originally released in 1990. The band moved towards a rawer, more direct sound, with Janick Gers replacing the departing Adrian Smith on guitar. Singer Bruce Dickinson features on 'Tailgunner', 'Holy Smoke' and the single 'Bring Your Daughter... to the Slaughter', which remains the band's only number one hit on the UK singles chart. The result is less polished than the albums that preceded it.
