Africa/Brass was the first album John Coltrane recorded for Impulse!. He set his quartet with McCoy Tyner, Reggie Workman, and Elvin Jones against a large brass ensemble, including four French horns and a euphonium, in arrangements worked out by Eric Dolphy and Tyner. The title piece 'Africa' is built on a sustained bass figure and runs past sixteen minutes; alongside it stand a drawn-out 'Greensleeves' and the short 'Blues Minor'. It originally appeared in 1961.

This edition is an LP on orange vinyl, with one bonus track and in a limited pressing.
