JOHN WILLIAMS CONDUCTS JOHN WILLIAMS - THE STAR WARS TRILOGY Coloured Vinyl

This is not a film soundtrack but a studio re-recording. In March 1990 John Williams conducted the Skywalker Symphony Orchestra at Skywalker Ranch and taped suites drawn from the three original Star Wars films. The album places Main Title and Throne Room / Finale from A New Hope alongside The Imperial March from The Empire Strikes Back and Luke and Leia from Return of the Jedi. Because the music was recorded away from picture, the pieces run broader and more fully worked out than in the films. The album originally appeared in November 1990 on Sony Classical.

This edition is a 2-LP on translucent green vinyl, in a numbered limited pressing.
