Impossible Princess is the album on which Kylie Minogue stood furthest from the hit factory. She had a hand in writing every song for the first time and worked with James Dean Bradfield and Nicky Wire of Manic Street Preachers, who shaped Some Kind Of Bliss and I Don't Need Anyone. The twelve tracks move between drum and bass, trip-hop and guitar pop. It originally came out in Australia in 1997 and only reached the UK in 1998, there under the title Kylie Minogue.
