Ashes of the Wake is the fourth studio album by Lamb of God and their first for a major label. The Richmond, Virginia band delivers the groove metal they are known for: tightly palm-muted riffs, double bass drums and the raw scream of Randy Blythe, underpinned by the twin guitars of Mark Morton and Willie Adler. Originally released in 2004 and produced by Machine, it entered the Billboard 200 at number 27. Well-known tracks include 'Laid to Rest', 'Blood of the Scribe' and 'Now You've Got Something to Die For'. This edition is a 2-LP on black vinyl, pressed for the 20th anniversary.
