Stories From A Rock N Roll Heart appeared in 2023 as Lucinda Williams' fifteenth studio album, and as the first she wrote after a stroke in November 2020 left her unable to play guitar. That pushed her to work more closely with others: her husband Tom Overby appears on many of the writing credits, Jesse Malin co-wrote three songs, and Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa sing on the single New York Comeback. Margo Price, Angel Olsen and Tommy Stinson also contribute. The lyrics deal with music as something to hold on to and with keeping going; Let's Get The Band Back Together and Rock N Roll Heart set that tone. This edition is an LP on cobalt blue vinyl.
