This Sweet Old World is the complete re-recording Lucinda Williams made in 2017 of Sweet Old World, her album from 1992. Her husband and manager Tom Overby talked her into taking on the material again; the two of them produced the new version, which came out on her own label Highway 20 Records. The arrangements were rebuilt and some lyrics extended, and next to the songs of the original there are four extra tracks, among them Nick Drake's Which Will. Pineola, Sweet Old World and Six Blocks Away come back twenty-five years later slower and heavier than on the first version. This edition is a 2-LP in a gatefold sleeve.
