For forty years Madness scattered their cover versions across singles, B-sides and tribute albums; Take Cover! brings them together on one album for the first time, thirteen tracks long. The band takes on work by John Lennon, ABBA, Ian Dury, Jimmy Cliff and Prince Buster, the source of both One Step Beyond and the song Madness itself, among others. Their own hit reading of It Must Be Love by Labi Siffre is here too, and the album closes with a live version of The Harder They Come recorded at Madstock in 1992. The collection first appeared as a Record Store Day release in 2025 and got a general release through West Village Music in July 2026.
