On Megadeth's eleventh studio album Dave Mustaine shares guitar duties with Glen Drover, the only time he appears on a Megadeth studio album; Drover left during the tour that followed and was replaced by Chris Broderick. United Abominations is political in tone, aiming at the United Nations in the title track and at Washington in "Washington Is Next!". For "A Tout le Monde (Set Me Free)" Mustaine re-recorded his 1994 song, this time as a duet with Cristina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil. Fast, heavy tracks such as "Sleepwalker" and "Gears of War" fill out the album.
