Number Ones brought together eighteen Michael Jackson singles in 2003, from "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" and "Rock with You" out of the Off the Wall years to "You Rock My World" and "Break of Dawn" from Invincible. In between sit "Billie Jean", "Beat It", "Bad", "Smooth Criminal", "Black or White", and "Earth Song", so the compilation runs through his whole solo career at Epic. The only new recording on the track list is "One More Chance", written by R. Kelly. The compilation did not appear on vinyl until 2026.
