Dawn of the Damned, Necrophobic's ninth studio album, originally appeared on 9 October 2020 through Century Media Records. It was recorded at Chrome Studios in Stockholm, with Fredrik Folkare producing, mixing, and mastering; Folkare played guitar in the band himself between 2011 and 2016. Anders Strokirk, who sang on the 1993 debut, was behind the microphone here for the second album in a row since his return. "Mirror Black" went out first as a video, and Schmier of Destruction appears on the closing "Devil's Spawn Attack".
