For Talkin to the Trees, Neil Young put together a new backing band: Spooner Oldham on organ, Micah Nelson on guitar, Corey McCormick on bass and Anthony LoGerfo on drums, together The Chrome Hearts. The album was released on 13 June 2025 on Reprise Records, recorded at Shangri-La in Malibu and produced by Young with Lou Adler. Ten new songs, from Let's Roll Again to the domestic Family Life and the closing Thankful; Big Change preceded it as the first single. The sound is that of a band playing together in one room, with organ and electric guitar close on top of each other. This edition is an LP.
