Hitchhiker is a solo acoustic session album that Neil Young recorded in a single evening in Malibu in 1976, together with producer David Briggs. The record company felt at the time it was more a collection of demos than a finished album, so it stayed on the shelf for years and only appeared in 2017. The session contains early versions of songs that later became well known, such as 'Pocahontas', 'Powderfinger' and 'Campaigner'. Two songs, 'Hawaii' and 'Give Me Strength', had never been released before. This release is an LP on black vinyl.
