The Official Release Series is the sequence in which Neil Young reissues his studio catalogue chronologically and by number. This fourth instalment gathered four albums: Hawks & Doves (originally 1980), Re·ac·tor (originally 1981, with Crazy Horse), This Note's for You (originally 1988, with the blues band The Bluenotes) and the mini-album Eldorado (originally 1989). Eldorado had appeared at the time only in Australia and Japan and included 'Cocaine Eyes' and 'Heavy Love'. The jump in numbering, from 14 to 20, bridges the years Young recorded for Geffen, which fall outside this series.
This release is a 4-LP box set on black vinyl.
