The sessions for Technique began on Ibiza in 1988, and the acid house and club culture flourishing there at the time are clearly audible in the result. 'Fine Time' opens with a buzzing bassline and a distorted voice, and 'Mr Disco' and 'Round & Round' are aimed at the dancefloor too; set against them are 'Love Less', 'Run' and 'Dream Attack', which stay closer to the melancholy guitar pop of earlier albums. New Order's fifth studio album originally came out in 1989 and became the band's first to reach number one on the UK albums chart. The line-up was still Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook, Stephen Morris and Gillian Gilbert. This edition is an LP.
