Nevermind was the second studio album by the American band Nirvana, released in 1991 on DGC Records. The record was produced by Butch Vig and brought the Seattle grunge sound to a wide audience. The opening track "Smells Like Teen Spirit" became the first single and grew into the band's signature song. "Come As You Are", "Lithium" and "In Bloom" were also released as singles from the album. Nevermind reached number one on the Billboard 200 in January 1992, displacing Michael Jackson's "Dangerous". The lineup consisted of Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl.
