Splinter is the seventh studio album by American punk band The Offspring, originally released in 2003 on Columbia Records. The Californian group went back to shorter, faster, rawer songs after the more polished sound of its earlier work. Brendan O'Brien produced again, and Josh Freese took over on drums after Ron Welty left the band earlier that year. Hit That and (Can't Get My) Head Around You came out as singles, and at a little over half an hour the album sets melodic punk rock next to Dexter Holland's humorous, sometimes cynical lyrics. This edition is a picture disc, released for Record Store Day.
