The Offspring

The Offspring started out in 1984 in Garden Grove, California, as a fast hardcore band and grew into one of the biggest names in American punk rock during the nineties. Their third album Smash (1994) broke through with Come Out and Play and Self Esteem and sold more than eleven million copies worldwide, the highest total ever for an album on an independent label. The Columbia years followed with Ixnay on the Hombre, the ten-million-selling Americana, and Conspiracy of One, records on which singer Dexter Holland and guitarist Noodles pulled ska, surf, and metal further into the mix. From Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace (2008) onward the band recorded with producer Bob Rock, who also produced Let the Bad Times Roll (2021) and Supercharged (2024).
