The Best Of Everything is the first compilation to take in the whole of Tom Petty's career: the work with the Heartbreakers, his solo albums, and Mudcrutch sit side by side across thirty-eight songs. The 2019 release includes two recordings that had not been issued before, the autobiographical For Real and an alternate version of the title track that restores a verse left off Southern Accents. Cameron Crowe wrote the booklet essay, and every track was remastered from the original studio tapes. This edition is a 4-LP.
