Ummagumma originally dates from 1969 and falls into two halves. The first is a live recording made in Birmingham and Manchester featuring "Astronomy Domine", "Careful with That Axe, Eugene", "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun" and "A Saucerful of Secrets", in performances that range far beyond the studio versions. The second half is a studio section in which each band member was given a piece of his own: Richard Wright's four-part "Sysyphus", Roger Waters' "Grantchester Meadows" and the vocal-noise construction "Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict", David Gilmour's "The Narrow Way" and Nick Mason's "The Grand Vizier's Garden Party". The album reached number five on the UK album chart. This edition is a 2-LP.
