Call of the Wild came out on 16 July 2021 via Napalm Records and became Powerwolf's eighth studio album. 'Beast of Gévaudan' went out first, followed by 'Dancing with the Dead', with 'Faster Than the Flame', 'Sermon of Swords', and 'Undress to Confess' also on the record. The familiar ingredients stay in place, with church organ, choir parts, and double bass drum, while Attila Dorn's vocals sit further forward in the mix than on the early work. This edition is an LP.
