De Lane Lea Demos gathers Queen's five earliest demo recordings, made between December 1971 and January 1972 at De Lane Lea Studios in Wembley. The band was allowed to record there in exchange for helping to run in the brand-new studio, with Louie Austin engineering. The demos comprise 'Keep Yourself Alive', 'The Night Comes Down', 'Jesus', 'Liar' and 'Great King Rat', songs the band later re-recorded for the 1973 debut album Queen. The recordings were restored and remixed from the original multitracks.
